Raw video: Deputy pulls gun during off-duty road-rage incident: In this video, shot on a cell phone by a teenage bystander inside a car, former Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office homicide detective Thomas Pettis (in a gray, short-sleeved shirt) can be seen pulling a gun during a fight on the side of Interstate 4. Pettis was charged with misdemeanor battery for punching Sebring schoolteacher Evan Rees during the altercation, but prosecutors opted not to charge Pettis with aggravated assault with a firearm, determining that he pulled the gun in self-defense.
